What To Do In Park City
SummerPark City Resort features some awesome summer activities for families, as well as some great trail heads for all levels of hikers and bikers!
Alpine Slide Deer Valley Resort is home to the Mountain Town Stages Outdoor Concerts. See Below for more information on that. Deer Valley also has some great lift-served mountain biking, scenic chair lift rides, and incredible dining! Outdoor Concerts - Mountain Town Stages promotes local musicians, scheduling free summer outdoor concerts at five stages all over town. Every Wednesday night, Wells Fargo and the Park City Performing Arts Foundation host a free locals' concert at Deer Valley's outdoor amphitheater. The Canyons Resort also gets into the act with free concerts every Saturday in the forum. The Canyons Resort is home to the Park City Farmer's Market on Wednesdays! The Canyons also hosts a free concert series on Saturday nights, very similar to Deer Valley's concerts! This is an awesome venue, and so much fun! Sundance Film Festival - in 1981 Robert Redford help to form the Sundance Institute, and organization dedicated to enhancing the artistic quality of films. If you happen to be in Park City during this time, you will definitely see some interesting characters, and if you're a film buff, there will be some great flicks, and some that are just plain bad. Park City Yurts - The Viking Yurt is at 8000 feet, above the Red Pine Lodge at the Canyons Ski Resort. Take a moonlit sleigh ride to arrive at this romantic dinner destination. Cross Country Ski - Park City has some great cross country trails for the aerobic buffs. Be sure to check it out. Snowshoe - Park City has hundreds of trails - several of them groomed for you by the Mountain Trails Foundation perfect for snowshoeing. |
